What a ride

Well, the past few years have been quite the ride, haven't they?!

From that first day we got news that the state was shutting down to today, where we are still battling the various strains that keep popping up with Covid, we have persevered.

Humans are amazing. And I am always fascinated by the power of hope and the grit of our business members.

Our first in person event was back in September, 2021; and we had over 50 people join us. This continued through November and in December at our favorite holiday venue, Lorenzo's. With numbers rising again through the holidays, our numbers dwindled to about 25 per event.

But like the spring bringing the blooming flowers, so did our 2022 events grow...starting with our Broaden Your Business lunch at, coincidentally, Lorenzo's with 33 for lunch to 130 at our Annual Meeting in March! Our members were abuzz with the joy of seeing each other in person.

Our members are back in business as usual. Our meetings are in person again.

Are we still careful, yes. Are we still worried deep down, yes. But are we holding on to the hope of good health for our family, friends and our businesses? Oh Yes!

This has been a ride...we've learned Zoom, we've learned to sing Happy Birthday washing our hands, and we learned how important people and our interactions are to our well being. It's been a roller coaster, but hopefully it is a slow smooth ride for now!
